When a new generation rediscovered the beauty and talent needed for the art, the school was renovated and reopened.

While Dalmatia lace is made with extremely thin thread, it is thought to be more durable than any other lace. The delicate detail has been renowned by European royalty for decades. On nice days, lace makers on Pag can be seen sitting in front of their homes making lace or selling their wares at street fairs in Dubrovnik and other areas of Croatia. It can take a skilled lace maker 25 hours to make a 4-inch circle of fine Dalmatia lace.
